The Earley Community Association came into being in 1983 when the Community Centre was built. Prior to that, it was part of the Earley Charity who helped the poor people of Earley. These were mostly farm workers, as the area was a stud farm and horses were the main occupants of where our houses now are!
The Earley Community Association is now a registered charity in its own right and was the first hirer of the Community Halls at Radstock. One of the arms of the Association was that of the Social Club, which was run on a voluntary basis by the then Committee Members. Over the years it became the fund raising arm of the Earley Community Association and the two are now linked.
The purpose of the Earley Radstock Social Club is to provide a social centre for those who live in the Radstock area to meet, to promote community relations, establish friendships and enhance family life. Charity events, family reunions and celebrations of all kinds can be held at the Social Club and it is also a great meeting point for sports fans with SKY/BT SPORTS television on view.
